We finally got our Honda Civic Hybrid on July 21, 2003. Now that I’ve had a few days to drive it around, I have to say I like it a lot. 380+ miles on this 13 gallon tank so far, and still over 1/4 tank left.
Here are some pictures:
The back. Notice the lack of the special “Clean Fuel” license plate. Virginia exempts cars with this plate from the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) requirement, allowing you to drive alone on HOV lanes.
A view of the front.
The side. Notice how it really does look exactly like a normal Civic. Except for the little spoiler thing on the trunk.
The speedometer, gas gauge, other fun stuff. Right under the speedometer is the indicator showing mileage. This was pretty early on, so it was kinda low. It has stabilized around 39 mpg.
The radio/CD player. Right under the CD player is storage for the CDs. Stupidly enough, you can’t store them with the label facing out, so you have to take them out to find what you want.
The shift stick. Even it looks pretty slick. Right in front are the hidden cup holders.
The nice “Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle” sticker.
