CSA Discoveries

A list of things we never would have made if we hadn’t purchased a community-supported agriculture share.
Moussaka: made with eggplant, which we never would have bought on our own.
Ratatouille: also eggplant, but also with the abundance of tomatoes we’ve gotten.
Gumbo with okra: we might have made gumbo, but probably wouldn’t have bothered with the okra so much.
Pesto: Not a pasta sauce that we’d normally have, let alone make ourselves.
Beet cake: pretty much the only thing we used the beets for, and it was damned good.
Cole slaw: we made this a couple of times for parties and pot lucks during the summer using the cabbage we got.
