The Monkey Wrench Gang is as relevant today as it was when it was published over 30 years ago. Edward Abbey manages to capture the beauty of the American West as well as the frustration in seeing it destroyed in front of your very eyes. His characters’ solution is to sabotage big industry one piece at a time, which they do in some entertaining ways.
