We were having some fun with sunglasses the other day and the kids went diva-macho man on us…Pretty funny. It was obviously a very bright and sunny day BUT COOOOLD!! What is the deal?? We basically skipped fall this year and went straight to winter. Since then we have had basically regular winter alternating with damn cold winter. Sup wit dat?–Update– check out the Olathe, KS webcam at the 127th street overpass, it is freezing today!
Jenn and I played volleyball for the first time in a long time this past weekend(save her appearances as a sub for a Thursday Night Coed league and my two ‘open gym’ nights)…Our bodies definitely felt the pain after the 6 matches of pounding. It was fun to get out there though and the itch to play is starting to creep back in. Scratching that itch playing indoor ball seems to hurt more every time though.
The month of February comes with some travels…The first stop is a quick jaunt back to Chicago to watch my buddy Ray tie the knot with his wife to be Stephanie. They will wed in Lisle, IL close to the old stomping grounds. Unfortunately we will only be back for less than 24 hours – trying not to miss the kids tumbling classes on Saturday morning and getting back for the Super Bowl. It will be nice to see some old friends even if it is only a quick visit.
Then we are off to Virginia for Evan‘s Baptism. Can’t wait to meet the little chunk, he looks so damn cute!!
No plans the next weekend…But the weekend of the 25th is Austin’s 3rd birthday weekend!! We are staying a night at the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, KS. Looks like F-U-N!!
