Next by Michael Crichton
My review
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Next is the latest novel by Michael Crichton. Like many of his previous books (The Andromeda Strain, Jurassic Park, Prey), it’s a cautionary tale of how well-intentioned science can go wrong. This time, he focuses on genetics. And judging from the multitude of storylines, there’s a lot of ways genetic engineering can go awry. It was a quick breezy read that I enjoyed, but it could have been better if there hadn’t been quite so many stories happening at the same time.
Next up is the sequel to Red Thunder, Red Lightning by John Varley.
