Rainy Day

It looks like it’s going to be a crummy, rainy day today. It’s been raining since I left for work this morning, and doesn’t look to let up. I guess this is the weather St. Louis got yesterday, causing the rainout of the baseball game last night and forcing me to watch Monday Night Football.
I’m actually glad I watched too. I had Anquan Boldin needing to score 23.5 points to get me a win in my fantasy football league, and he scored 24. I went to bed with the Cardinals dominating 23-3 with about 3 minutes left in the third quarter. Apparently, that’s when it got crazy, and Chicago scored 2 defensive TDs and one punt return, and won 24-23. I felt sick to my stomach when I watched the highlights and saw Neil Rackers (stupid kicker!) miss the 41 yarder. I really feel bad for Matt Leinart, who had a great game despite the Cardinals having no running game (36 carries for 55 yards?), and getting drilled on one of those fumbles because his blind side tackle decided not to block the defensive end, who he is supposed to block on EVERY PLAY!
Enough of that, on to baseball, where the Cubs hired Lou Piniella, and the A’s fired Ken Macha. That leaves the Nats in a better, if not prime, position to land Joe Girardi. Come on Joe, you’d be a great fit here! Really though, now that Lou has gone to Chicago, as long as the Nats don’t hire Dusty Baker, I will probably be happy with the outcome.
