JPod : A Novel

JPod JPod by Douglas Coupland
My review
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
jPod has some funny parts to it, especially at the beginning. But it failed to live up to my expectations, and I was disappointed.
Douglas Coupland, I believe, creates some interesting characters, and has them interact in sometimes interesting ways. But the plot seems to fail and not really go anywhere. In the end, jPod is an observant novel about working in the software (specifically game software) industry, but it doesn’t really get anywhere with those observations, and instead just presents them as funny. And don’t even get me started on the thirty pages of the first hundred thousand digits of pi. Disappointing indeed.
Next up is possibly my last fun summer reading novel, The Ruins by Scott Smith.
