Last week's trivia answer was cars. Yep, she rolled the Matchbox cars and trucks through the paint, then rolled them on the paper, and voila! Instant masterpiece.
This week took a little more effort. The inspiration was Hawaiian Kapa Cloth. We didn't strip the bark and make cloth, we just did the stamping part. We used cookie cutters to press a pattern into scratch foam, the painted over the foam, and turned it over and stamped the pattern on the paper. Ellie liked to really paint heavily, so the second stamping was usually more visible.

First off, the previous artwork was painted using... broccoli! An all-veggie paintbrush class, with broccoli and carrots being used. Crazy. I've got a couple new pieces for you to peruse.

This piece was inspired by Van Gogh's "Starry Night."

More trivia. Can you figure out what Ellie used as a brush to make this piece? Think outside the box, after all, the last answer was broccoli.

I've given Ellie's website a bit of a makeover. Ellie helped pick out the colors. Surprisingly, she was adamant that I not use pink, so I went with pastels and purple instead. Hope you like it, and let me know if you see anything funky.
