Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has bought things off the registries already. I had no idea people would be buying stuff so quickly, then I realized that the big shower is coming up this week! I don't know where we are going to find room for all of this stuff. We're already putting some of the things on the floor, at Max's level, to get him used to the idea. It should be real fun when we get batteries for the bouncer! Thanks again.

Good news! Lisa passed the three hour version of the glucose test! It was a grueling ordeal, and she had the bruises to show for it. But everything came back normal, so hopefully no more needles for a while, and luckily, no insulin shots.
The rains of May have given way to oppressive 90+ degree weather here in Washington, and Lisa is not liking it one bit. Lucky for her, I have been dropping her off at the Metro so that she doesn't have to walk. It's gonna be a long summer.

Bad news. Lisa "failed" her glucose test. It doesn't necessarily mean anything bad, but she does have to go back next week for a three hour test! More drinking orange soda and more sticking with needles. She's hoping it won't be too bad, but she is certainly not looking forward to it. Send words of encouragement to her at daisyhead@the-ds.com.

Everything seems to be going smoothly. We are entering the period of biweekly appointments, so our next one will be at the end of June. Lisa loves having blood taken, by the way. Not! Especially difficult when she was not allowed to have breakfast and had to drink an orange soda instead, for her glucose test. Yuck! Read on for info about where we are registered.

By popular demand, I am posting some pictures of what Lisa looks like now, at about 6 months.

First, a shot from straight on.

A profile shot.

And if it wasn't obvious enough, it's more than a couple of handfuls.
