DirecTV rules!
Being the proud papa of a new baby girl definitely cuts into your football viewing time. But since I have DirecTV's Sunday Ticket and DirecTivo, all is well in my household. Not only can I record two of the games at once while I am tending to Ellie, but DirecTV delivers the highlights from all the games I miss to my DVR on Monday morning. That means I don't have to bug my wife by watching all the highlight shows over and over, I can just watch DirecTV's whenever I have the time. It's pretty cool, an NFL Films style commentary on about 2-3 minutes of highlights from each game. It's also very helpful for keeping up with your fantasy football players.
They're running a special now, just like the one I got last year. Sign up for Sunday Ticket at 4 monthly payments of about $50, and get 4 months of EVERY channel DirecTV has for free. This includes HBO, Showtime, etc. They also have good deals to get a DVR and installation for cheap. I highly recommend it. DirecTV does not give me anything if you sign up, it's just my recommendation to help you out.
Update: I am an even happier customer now. DirecTV just gave me three FREE months of STARZ! That's actually about 10 channels of Starz and Encore movie channels. No reason, just for being a good customer. Pretty sweet.
