Easter
I hope everyone had a lovely Easter holiday. We drove up to Michigan to see our new nephew, Colin James "Don't call me C.J." Ratkowski. Cute kid, as you can see from the pictures we took with our new digital camera (it's a big picture, until I get the chance to trim it down, sorry). You can see more pictures by checking out the Easter album we created on Ofoto.com by clicking here.
Syracuse wins National Championship
Congrats to the Syracuse Orangemen, this year's NCAA basketball champs. I was just telling my buddies at work, who were surprised that I had picked Syracuse to go to the finals (unfortunately, I didn't pick them to win it all, and lost my pool). I mentioned to them that I thought they were really good after watching them play Michigan State, my alma mater, and beat them in East Lansing. No small feat, not many teams have been able to pull it off, plus MSU was on a serious roll heading into that game. I figured they would either go a long way, or lose early by playing to the level of their competition, like they did against Georgetown.
So imagine my surprise when I was watching Pardon the Interruption, and Jim Boeheim mentioned that he first thought his team could take it all when they went into Michigan State and won. I must be some kind of basketball genius!
Congrats to Syracuse. Watch out for the Spartans next year though!
Update! Both Dickie V and Digger ranked the Spartans in their top five for next year on Sportscenter last night.
Curling Video Game
My birthday was this past Sunday, April 6. I had a lot of fun, we went to Dave and Busters. sort of an adult arcade. OK, it's just an arcade, but we had fun anyway. Our friends, Kate and Alex, were among those who were there, and Alex got a very cool gift for me: "Take-Out Weight Curling."
